On the 23rd August 6 cadets set off for the lake district to complete their final gold expedition. All the group had completed 2 practice expeditions in similar terrain to prepare them for the expedition.

The group then completed several of the required tasks before beginning the expedition such as the kit check.

The expedition then began talking the group over hills, and through the cloud. The expedition took the group up mountains and along ridges, it also involved a wild camp at angle tarn.
