On September 23rd 2006 the drill team went up to RAF Cosford to compete in the regional drill competition. We competed against 5 other squadrons. At the start of the competition we had an inspection and got 19/20.

Then we did the drill. We won and couldn’t believe it, we were the first from out wing ever to win it. After winning we went to RAF Halton in November. Once again we competed against 5 other squadrons. This was very nerve-racking as we were competing to be the best in the country.

We had a thorough inspection and were asked lots of questions to do with our time in the ATC and what we enjoyed doing the most.

Once we had competed we went on a big parade we got told where we had come and who had won what.

We came 5th overall and this now means we are 5th in the country.

This took a lot of effort and time from the staff and cadets that were involved and we were good to come where we did.
