On 3rd December 2006, 8 cadets from the squadron were lucky enough to go up to RAF Cosford to go flying with 8 AEF (Air Experience Flight). Each year 8 AEF alone flies 100s of cadets for 20 minute flights and our squadron is usually given about two opportunities for this experience in the months of February and December

After much anticipation of inadequate weather conditions for flying, all but two of our cadets got the chance to go up. It was a brilliant day with brilliant weather and most importantly brilliant flying! All of the cadets who went up thoroughly enjoyed the experience and most had the opportunity to fly some aerobatics and all can’t wait to go again, even those who, unfortunately, didn’t get the chance to fly this time around.
